Do you have a rough idea how much free space will be available on the driver's side of the frunk? For those of us without 12v outlets, we're going to need to figure out how to power the cooler (or in my case the cooler and the tank pump). The EcoFlow power station I'm currently using with an ICECO GO20 is clearly too large for this configuration, so I'd like to start sizing out alternative power units. Have you considered adding the 12V frunk plug? It is on the project list and the plan is to have it available in time for the cooler.

Not sure what you mean. I haven't heard of anyone who's successfully installed a 12v frunk plug where one didn't exist previously. Maybe I've missed the thread?

Several of our group members have--also other people in the Rivian community at large. It isn't overly expensive or difficult. The kit will have everything you need--the outlet, drill bits, a placement template, wire ends/terminals etc. and be about $40 - $50. The frunk tub itself is actually made to be fairly easily removed so you can replace/service the 12v battery and headlights--I think it is 8 -10 screws and it lifts out.

Oh are you planning to include a kit with the cooler?

Oh are you planning to include a kit with the cooler? Probably not as standard--there are about 12,000 R1's that have the frunk plug and not everyone will use the cooler in the frunk--some may want to keep it in the bed or back of the SUV. There are also people who will want just the plug kit and not the cooler.

Hi. I'm so glad I found this site. Does the cooler fit in the frunk with and/or without the water tank under it? apologies if I missed that detail.
Thanks for putting these awesome projects together.

Yes, both with and without. To the best of my understanding the water tanks shape is such that it can best interface with the cooler, but it is not a required part for having a cooler.
