This is awesome. Thank you!
Just curious of the Rivian hard points. Is that something that can be made so folks can adapt to custom projects? It would be nice to build a bed rack with rivian hard points that I could take off my overlanding gear in a modular form.

It would be nice to build a bed rack with Rivian hard points that I could take off my overlanding gear in a modular form. There is nothing structurally to prevent people from making custom projects. There are of course weight restrictions for static and live/dynamic loads--aka sitting and driving. IIRC it's 750 lbs static and 250 dynamic.

Love this idea. Can't wait until this is something we can actually order...

Love this idea. Can't wait until this is something we can actually order... Yeah I am really looking forward to working on this one as well. It is looking like the 12 gallon water tank and slide out utility tray will be the first two projects to enter production and the 40 quart powered cooler and either roof rack or roof rack will be in the second group.

Any thoughts on wiring path? Or could this have an integrated battery to run the LED bar without vehicle power input? I think that's particularly interesting when paired with the solar. Also, general question about powered accessories: is there any way to turn on/off things using the vehicle infotainment system? Maybe via bluetooth in this case?

Also, general question about powered accessories: is there any way to turn on/off things using the vehicle infotainment system? Maybe via bluetooth in this case? To be candid connecting the power systems in the roof rack to the trucks infotainment systems is beyond my skill level. That being said, if Rivian has provided some way to interface with their systems via bluetooth or a LAN I would be happy to consult with an electronics engineer about adding that functionality--provided it was genuinely useful and not just a bullet point for the features list. Adding a battery for the light bar and operating it via a wireless switch or key-fob would not be all that difficult and it will likely be an option. From what I have read Rivian has added optional auxiliary fuse-able circuits for things like fog lights and CB radios etc. I don't know for sure yet what circuits are available under the shark fin antennae, but that is the most likely connection point for the light bar. It is the most logical place Rivian could have added the connection points because of the glass roof.

Love this idea! 400 watts is enough to top off most 500kwh batteries during the day to then use at night, so you wouldn't have to use the ac outlets on the trucke.

This is just awesome. It solves a major challenge, and by comparison to recently announced aftermarket solutions for Rivians this solution is $1.5-2k less expensive.
I think I can speak for a majority of us in saying, "Well done and much appreciated!"
