Hi all. My family and I enjoy camping, backpacking, fishing, hiking, scuba diving and travel. We are in the Tucson area. While I wouldn't call myself an "overlander", I will say, the ideal camping spot has as few other humans in the area as possible. I got my R1T (LE, LG, BM, AT wheels) in May and have been enjoying it ever sense. The cooler I own is about 1" too tall to fit under the tonneau cover. So, it ends up in the back seat, which is less than ideal. I'm really excited at the prospect of accessories designed for Rivian vehicles.

Apologies in advance but I just couldn't resist asking about the local scuba diving scene in Tucson =)

Yeah, the local dive scene is non-existent. There is training that happens at Lake Pleasant, north of Phoenix. But for diving with actual stuff to see, a drive down to Puerto Penasco or San Carlos in Mexico is required. If you think the EV charging infrastructure is lacking in the US, try planning a trip in Mexico. It would be doable if I had a Tesla, but not yet in a Rivian. We dust off the ICE vehicle for those trips.

We dust off the ICE vehicle for those trips. My Father was stationed on Barbados for 3 years and the water was so spectacular that it spoiled me pretty much forever. I live 20 miles form South Padre Island and Port Isabel and I haven't gone diving a single time in 20 years.
A friend of ours was on a dive trip in Mexico with a fairly large and well known tour company and was run over by a boat. It goes without saying I know, but be careful and never assume the tour company has placed their dive flags properly.
