Prefer the second version of towel bar. Suggest length should be based on wherever a handy place can be found to store an item of said length.

Super impressive all around. The towel bar looks like a really nice add and made me think if you could do something to hang a light/lantern as well? I signed up for the shuttle but have been following this closely and its looking way better than I expected!

Maybe a pole of some sort to get it up a bit higher.

Or if you can do something like the Pile Driver but cheaper… claymoreoutdoor.com/products/multipiledriver

Finding a place for a pole wouldn't be too hard. Is there a particular light you guys like? I have string lights and then a couple hangable lamps from Snow Peak and Claymore. I was looking at this Lightranger from Devos because it is specifically for spreading light down from a pole, but it comes with a full tripod kit so the base is probably too big to feed through a smaller hole. www.devosoutdoor.com/products/lightrangerAre you still thinking of an umbrella setup? I figure a pole slot that could accommodate an umbrella during the day and a light pole at night would be ideal.

AMAZING DESIGN !!! I Loved everything about it, beautiful details. I can't wait to incorporate this kitchen to my R1T !! It's actually turning even better than I expect.

Took a look at YouTube review of Thunderbolt Adventure Supply’s camp kitchen and noticed a detail that had not occurred to me. Not clear how much actual access you have had to a R1T for test fitting. Take a look at the video, and specifically the door handle clearance shown at about the 30 second mark. Hopefully this is something you designed around WAY back… but I missed thinking that item through. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sytq21OGG0A

I believe Gene's flips the other way so i dont think that is a concern.

Yes, regardless of how close it comes to the handle, having that fold with the sharp edge in front of the door that someone could open from the inside isn’t a great design.

Sorry if I missed it, but a couple questions boxgods: 1) Is there an updated delivery estimate? 2) Updated estimated cost? 3) The kitchen is deployed on the passenger side with the drawers unfolded correct? Seriously fantastic job with all this. I'm more excited now than ever!

I wonder if a J hook that will accept any lantern might not be more practical? I say that because you can use any lamp, and if/when needed take it down and walk around with it.

We flip the other direction...the door is 100% unrestricted. Anything that can block egress on a vehicle is not even DOT legal. And yes that includes a parked vehicle.
